Well since it's been about a year since my last post I figured I should do an update of what happened in 2010 (so I can remember later down the road mostly...)I was really blessed to be able to travel a lot this year. I went on numerous trips to Nebraska (my friend Kristy's wedding, meeting my new nephew Logan, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas), Cancun, MX and Orlando, FL for vacations with my parents, Oregon to visit Brittney, Guadalajara, MX for the Newfrontiers Fiesta conference, and Dallas, TX to cheer on the Huskers at the Big 12 Conference Championship game. I'm so thankful that I've been able to see as much as I have this year and visit so many amazing people. I also had a few visitors here in St. Louis this year. My parents visited in February for Mardi Gras, my grandparents stopped to see me on their way home from Florida in March, Nicole and Laura came for Easter, and my mom came for my birthday in June.
Things here in St. Louis are going really well. In May I moved into a house with two good friends and we're loving it. We've enjoyed having people over often for different social events and we were also able to host a weekly church small group here for a few months. For my job I've completed a full year of conference planning with Newfrontiers USA and I'm really loving it. My role changed a bit in July of this year when I started doing finances for Jubilee Church as well. I would have never thought that I would be a conference coordinator/finance manager, but it worked out to be exactly the right job for me. God continues to grow me and knit me together with the Jubilee Church family as I become more involved in what is happening here. I am passionate about seeing people come to Jesus here in St. Louis and love to see my church getting out in the community and serving the people around us.
I'm excited to see what the new year brings! I don't even try to guess what direction my life will go next as I've been surprised so far by where God has brought me. I know that things will only get better from here. :)
Until my next yearly update...
